I met Lauren at a friend’s wedding in June of 2013, just two months after my mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. They were both going through chemo at the same time. I remember my mom being so inspired by such a young person going through something so horrible, yet being so strong. Unfortunately, I lost my mother in June of 2015. Since my mother’s diagnosis, I have wanted to help find a cure for any form of cancer. One great quality my mother passed on to me is a passion for children. Being able to combine the effort to help find a cure as well as work with and for children, I joyfully accepted when asked to be a part of Lolo’s angels.

Currently, I run a daycare center in West Omaha, but if I could make a living out of traveling I would! I have been to several countries including, Iceland, Ireland, Jamaica, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, the Bahamas, and parts of Mexico. While traveling the world is a dream come true, I have recently started focusing on more trips here in the U.S. When not traveling the world, I can be found hanging out with my family. I love to create special memories with my niece and nephew, anything from trips to SeaWorld for their 6th birthday to just camping at the lake and “roughing” it. If you ask my friends, they say I have a passion for doing good and always put others first. I think in this sense they are right because I am excited to find a cause I can put these two qualities to good use and help to find a cure!
